In the past few years their work has gained attention for many projects, including the revitalization of St. George and Bloor streets, as well as the recent completion of the Yonge / DundasSquare. Brown + Storey Architects needed a comprehensive web presence to reflect the essence of their work. It needed to feature a number of past projects in a way that is clear and highly visual. The group needed a way to keep track of all of the communication updates made to these entities with various editorial and management views. A custom networked database system was developed to support the Business Communications group. The system allows the group to track all on-going communication updates, includes multiple access levels for management and staff, and generates reports for viewing by the senior management of CIBC.

Pelton offers a unique experiential style of reporting on conflict-related issues by spending time with leaders from both sides of political conflicts, often returning with exclusive and unique footage. The Discovery Travel Channel series “Robert Young Pelton’s The World’s Most Dangerous Places” aired from 1998-2003 and inspired the formation of comebackalive.com – the site features ‘Dangerous Places’, an interactive map of the world, showcasing information form Pelton’s guides detailing the inter-workings of political unrest. Their research investments into disease recovery and prevention is unmatched in the country. Over the last few years, most investments have been directed towards the same proven medical labs and scientists, and a second look at the investment strategy was required in order to diversify their investments - to give a chance for young researchers, expanding labs, and get more valuable medical research for the money. In collaboration with Williams Research International, a database system was developed to assist in the search for possible diversification strategies. Based in Switzerland, it holds some of the largest medical research facilities and develops more new medicine than any other company. With their immense collection of quantitative and qualitative data kept in hundreds of databases throughout the company, the senior management required a new database system in order to keep track of all of the databases of operations in the company. Every group manager had to be interviewed in order to develop a data-map of the company, that includes all operations, their data assets, how to access them, who is in charge of the information, and more detail. The project involved testing every piece of equipment in the power plants and replacing items if needed. With an estimated timeline of four years to completion, the project required monthly progress reporting. Working with the senior management, a corporate newsletter format was produced to communicate the progress of the project in a simplified way to over 10,000 staff and associates of the company. The progress report included an executive summary, project milestones, budget expenditure, site inspections, work-down curves, audit summaries and special reports. Catania imports and exports produce all around the world and has many offices worldwide. Catania needed a corporate web presence for the company, as well as various micro-sites for international branches. In collaboration with Radonic Rodgers Communications, Giant Step developed very attractive websites for the company. The corporate web presence included an interactive animated map featuring Catania's import and export routes, an easily updatable product availability chart, updatable photo galleries and animated Catania's company logo for the web.
