TheBubble.ca
TORONTO, ON, August 30, 2005 — In collaboration with GlobalAware Independent Media, Giant Step has developed two online marketing engines for a new marketing initiative – TheBubble.ca. The website (www.thebubble.ca) features an online directory of socially-conscientious businesses in Canada as well as an online magazine explaining the complexities of global/local trade.
The bubble will be a clearinghouse for ethical businesses complete with well-researched information about the whole gamut of issues affecting the world and us as individuals. It will be a place to go to learn about the complexity of a variety of global/local concerns while at the same time, having alternatives and solutions at one’s fingertips. The bubble simplifies the process of making ethical choices without simplifying the problems
With dozens of writers, photographers and active campaigners, TheBubble.ca is taking off like a rocket. The website has already received the committed support of major sponsors including the Canadian Auto Workers, Canadian Labour Congress, Canadian Organic Growers, Alterna Savings, Mountain Equipment Co-op, Oxfam Canada, and the Sierra Club of Canada.
“At the core of TheBubble.ca is a content management system that allows writers and staff to easily upload articles, manage categories and manage the online directory” commented Gil Katz, managing partner of Giant Step. “The challenge was to make the site administration simple to use for a vast range of contributors with various levels of experience with the web”.
